When a doctor, hospital or addiction treatment center accepts your health insurance plan, they are most likely in network. When you go to a doctor or center who doesn’t take your plan, they are out of network. The two main differences between them are cost and whether your plan helps pay for care you get from out-of-network providers. Your insurance provider can tell you which treatment centers are in network and can discuss costs associated with your preferred treatment center.
